dog separation anxiety

I think my dog has separation anxiety. What to do?
He can not bear to be alone and it is very destructive when it is. I tried crating him and that just seems to get worse, not to mention the Slober I have to clean out the nest, even after it has been it for a short period of time.
Some dogs never get over it. However, crating is the best idea, and sometimes you just have to harden your heart. If you really want good advice, call a dog trainer or behavior of a veterinarian. There are good books to the library as well. Sure simply that you do not have a crate that is too small for your type of dog, and do not leave it for long periods of time. A couple of hours Just one hours. Good luck. I feel sad for the dog and you. Maybe you could hire someone to care for him during the day, or else on him?
